"Your Love Story"

Think about this: how many of the guests at your wedding will really know "Your Love Story"?
- How, when, and where you met?
- What were your impressions of him/her when you first met?
- Particulars about your first date?
- Fun highlights while dating each other?
- How you came to realize that you wanted to marry this person?
- Details of the proposal?
- and especially the romantic sentiments of how you feel about your spouse-to-be?

The answer that most couples give us is, "Some of our friends and family know some of the details but not everyone."

Rob has created a perfect way to add a fun, romantic, and wonderfully memorable element to your wedding reception that is guaranteed to be one of the best highlights from your wedding day. It will engage your guests in a way that will make them feel that much more a part of your celebration.

This is how it works:
1. You and your fiancé each write down some of the information that is listed below.
2. You write this WITHOUT the other person reading what you have written.
3. You each submit this to Rob a few weeks before the wedding.
4. Rob then creatively combines your two versions of your story into one.
5. During your reception, usually after the meal and right before we open up the dancefloor, Rob brings the two of you out to a couple of chairs on the dancefloor where you sit side-by side and hear "Your Love Story" being told. Rob is a master story teller and you and your family and friends will smile, laugh, and most certainly be teary-eyed as the story of your love for each other is heard. That is, after all, what we believe your wedding reception should be - a celebration of your love.
6. At the conclusion of your story, Rob will invite you to step back out onto the dancefloor and be joined by the rest of your guests. Then the music starts, the celebration continues, and the party begins!

Rob will walk you through the whole process and make sure that you have complete peace-of-mind. We are so confident that you will absolutely love this!

Here are your assignments:

EACH of you, individually, begin your write-up with WHEN, WHERE, and HOW you met. Include the actual date. Tell us everything you remember including first impressions, what attracted you to him/her, etc. Contrast what your life was like before your soon-to-be mate entered the picture with what your life has been like afterwards.

EACH of you, individually, explain how the first date transpired (e.g., date, where you went, how the date ended, etc.). Write down everything that you can remember (or what you can repeat in front of your family and friends!). What did you say to family and friends about him/her?

EACH of you, individually, write down some of the fun highlights of your dating before you got engaged. Add interest and excitement by telling a decisive moment when you almost broke up or ended up moving closer together. Creating some element of tension in your story this way makes your audience care about what happens to you as a couple.

HER: Write down when you began to realize that this was the man for you. Explain (in great detail) the circumstances surrounding his proposal (e.g., date, location and environment, how, etc.). Did you know the proposal was coming, or were you totally surprised? Was he acting particularly strange on the day of the proposal?

HER: Finish your love story by writing a short paragraph telling us the reason why he is the perfect man for you. Email your version of your story directly to Rob at: RobClark@RobClarkDJ.com. Do not copy your fiancé on the email.

HIM: Write down when you began to realize that this was the woman that you wanted to marry. Explain (in great detail) the process of picking out/buying the ring, making arrangements for the proposal, etc. Do you think that she knew you were going to propose that day? Why? What was her reaction to the proposal?

HIM: Finish your love story by writing a short paragraph telling us the reason why she is the perfect woman for you. Email your version of your story directly to Rob at: RobClark@RobClarkDJ.com. Do not copy your fiancée on the email.

DO NOT READ EACH OTHER'S STORY. You will be surprised to find out the fun differences that you each bring to your love story. Rob will creatively condense the two stories together and will present "Your Love Story" in a way that will be one of the biggest highlights of your wedding day!
